The “Why” In What We Do
Our mission is to deliver FUN in the lives of our customers. It’s the “Why” in what we do. And when we execute up the standard that our mission sets, there are so many positive (and often unintended!) outcomes. Sometimes when we deliver FUN, we also deliver comfort, compassion and hope. The team at Store 4666 in Tampa took time and care to offer great customer service to a guest, and as a result, had an meaningful impact on a local veteran, Ray.
He shared the story with us.
“I would like to tell the corporation of NPC International and their human resources department about my experience with two employees at the 5263 Ehrlich Road, Tampa 33624 location.
I am over at the rehab center to try to learn how to stand and walk again; I have at least 20 bullets and fragments still in me from my service with the United States Marine Corps Special Forces and I am now a 100% fully disabled veteran. I am on a lot of pain medication from the damage done and suffer a lot daily, and I went through all of that suffering so that people could have the right to talk to me however they want to.
My first encounter was with a man named Misha. Due to them rebuilding my hands I am still learning how to use them again and I cannot go online and needed a lot of help trying to figure out my order. He was very patient and the way he treated me made me want to speak with his manager whose name is Kayla. It has been my experience that you take your lead from the top and when Kayla got on the phone she proved that to me because sure enough, she treated me the same way. Not only were they both going out of their way to help me, they were patient, professional and genuinely made me feel valued – like everything I had done was worth it. It made the pain decrease that day and moved my spirit through the holidays.
They are wonderful representatives of your company and went so far out to assist me and I really wanted it to be recognized.”
great job guys
