Congratulations, Scholarship Winners!
Jason Hamerlinck, Talent Acquisition Manager for Little Rock and Georgia, is a second-year recipient of this scholarship, so he is raking in the cash, course credits and future credentials because of this scholarship program! He was also chosen to receive a $750 scholarship from Excelsior College for his great study habits and being on the President’s List with a 4.0 GPA. He’s achieving all of this while working a very busy/big job at NPC and being a very active and involved dad and husband to his family. This takes great commitment, late nights, lots of time management and personal sacrifice!
Joseph Urban, AGM in Augusta, Georgia, will be cashing in $1,000 in NPC scholarship money to work on completing his business degree! Joseph is investing in his education so that he can take his leadership skills to the next level. He believes in the importance of passing along knowledge, experiences and education, and he works hard to grow and develop his team. “I want to enroll in business management courses so I can become a better leader, and I will definitely pass along what I learn to grow my team.” Thank you, Joseph, for your hard work and congratulations on earning this scholarship!
Tammi Morgan, RGM of Store 2602 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is a leader in her store and a great mentor to other RGMs in her area. She shows her team that it’s possible to maintain a good quality of life while balancing school, career and family. Tammi is using what she learns in school in her store – from marketing strategies to building people capabilities. Congratulations, Tammi!
Charles “Chase” Manus is RGM of Store 1832 in Trumann, Arkansas. Chase started with Pizza Hut in 2013 as a production Team Member, and through his hard work and dedication, quickly moved up the ladder. Chase is pursuing a business management degree and is using the skills he learns to run his business more efficiently and raise profitability. He also plans to become an above-restaurant leader to develop more high-performing individuals and make a bigger impact on the business every step of the way. Keep up the great work, Chase!
Ron Kiernicki, RGM of Store 2723 in Brazil, Indiana, is a second-year recipient of this scholarship! After registering for classes, Ron learned that, due in part to Learning Zone training, he had 60 transferable credits available toward a professional services degree. Ron ultimately decided to pursue a global business degree, and he is using the education and insights from his courses to positively impact his store and team. Ron works hard to balance running his business, being a devoted family man and many personal adventures outside of his career that keep him busy. Congratulations, Ron!

WHOOO Tammi! Congrats on the scholarship. And look at all of that beautiful green and gold!
Aww, Thanks girl! Part of that green and gold was with your help!
GO Jason GO!!! Great Job everyone!
Why would a AGM need scholarship money? Also why no team members, shift managers or assistant managers. Only RGM’s and above on this list
Anthony, this scholarship is available to any employee who meets the following criteria:
• An active NPC International employee for a minimum of one year
• A Shift Manager or above
• Plans to enroll at the Life Unboxed Edu partner college, Excelsior College
• An excellent performer with significant work experience
…A committee reviews all the applications we receive and selects recipients based on the quality of their application. These are great recipients, and hopefully, they inspire more people to apply next year!
Yeah it’s cool and all that they are getting money but it would make more people apply if we actually saw shift leads getting the scholarships rather than people who already make a livable wage and can pay for college without taking out loans or not eating.
I won it last year as a shift leader. It’s more than likely that not many people at the junior management level applied.
Erin, you’re exactly right.
Congrats you guys, look forward to those pictures with the certificate being done, wtg on the balancing work and home life! Takes a special person to do what you do keep it up!!
Way to go, show them how its done!
Great Job Mr Joseph
