Penny Lindemann Smith is the CFO of NPC’s Wendy’s Division.
Penny has been with NPC for 12 years serving most recently as the Vice President of Treasury and Wendy’s Finance helping support the growth of the Wendy’s business, which has more than doubled since 2014. Penny currently serves on The Wendy’s Company CFO Forum, which benchmarks franchisee performance across the Wendy’s system. Prior to that, Penny served as the Senior Director of Treasury and Investor Relations as a supporting finance role for NPC’s publicly traded debt. Penny also served as the Director of Technical Accounting, researching and documenting relevant technical accounting topics and assuring NPC compliance.
Prior to her time with NPC, Penny spent five years as an auditor at KPMG, one of the big four public accounting firms. Penny graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Truman State University. She earned her MBA in Finance from the University of Kansas. Penny also holds the certification of Certified Public Accountant.
Penny lives in Leawood, Kansas, with her husband, Chris, and their two children. When Penny is not working, she loves to run and has completed three marathons and 13 half marathons. She also loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
